Ah yes it is finally Friday again! We are excited to have a friend staying with us and plan to relax and enjoy the fun “cowtown” Fort Worth culture. That does not necessarily include Billy Bobs. But it will include some of our wonderful local museums and the art/historic district. And certainly a little bit of shopping.
I read a recent article in Runners World (one of my husband’s favorite publications- right next to Newsweek…) I always enjoy anything written by John Bingham AKA the Penguin. His July article is called Running Blind… very good insights! He ends the piece with a familiar line that I truly appreciate. “The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.”

Thoreau and other tibits
Well, it has been a while since I posted here but now is better than never. I love fresh starts and new beginnings. We have had an interesting summer with some late night runs to the ER with our son but we are so blessed to have that behind us and he is on the road to good health. Yes!
Amy is doing a fabulous job as an intern for ADF at Duke this summer. We have really missed her but we are so very proud of her “go get it attitude”. What an amazing daughter! I leave in a few weeks for a 3 city book tour with Dr. Tim LaHaye, Steve has a new job with EMS ISD in the Administration Building and a trip to Washington DC for his first official conference as the districts drug czar. Yokio our min pin passed his 1st annual vet check up with flying colors and truly has claimed me as his favorite so my family is a little jealous… Yes it has been busy but good. I found a new quote to list among my favorites:
“You cannot kill time without injuring eternity.” Henry Thoreau
I certainly do not want to be responsible for any injury to eternity! – do you?
